X-Ray Filtration System
The Rad-a-Way Filtration System provides for full spine, upper cervical, and lateral
thoracic views with minimal patient exposure and reduced x-ray scatter.
Rad-a-Way
is a must for scoliosis x-ray analysis.
Adaptable setup: for example, Chiropractors normally take 14 x 36 inch full spine
x-rays while Orthopedic Surgeons normally take 14 x 51 full spine x-rays. Rad-a-Way
can be used for both.

Standard Features
- AP full spine x-ray filter with a filter groove which allows for a base posterior upper cervical view or a standard open mouth upper cervical view
- Lateral thoracic spine filter to compensate for patient thickness
- Lead breast shields that attenuate x-ray beam. These shields not only reduce
patient exposure but also reduce x-ray scatter.
- Patented filter frame that attaches with suction cups which do not interfere
with collimator lights at 72 inches for 14 x 51, 14 x 36, 14 x 17 or smaller
views.
- ¼" bar filter for extra filtration on full spines or also may be
used for lateral thoracic focused views.
- Frame that's easily mountable. All you have to do is align the vertical
line on the back of the frame to the vertical black line on your collimator.
This automatically centers the filter and allows for quick set up.
- The system is very user-friendly. The magnetic edges of the filter provide
enough friction to hold the filter in place, yet allows it to be easily adjustable.
- The system filters the x-ray beam directly out of the collimator which reduces
patient exposure up to 80%
